How to get a same-day appointment

Text us your idea. Send a message to 323.395.0049, or use the appointment request form. Include a reference photo or a short description, where on your body you want it, a rough size (in inches, or compared to a credit card or your palm), color or black and gray, and the times you're free today.
We check the calendar. We'll look at which artists are open and who fits your style, then reply with a time and a rough estimate.
Hold your spot. A $100 deposit locks in the appointment and goes toward the cost of your tattoo. See our deposit policy for the details.
Come in. We're open daily from 8 am to 10 pm. Bring a valid photo ID; in California you must be 18 or older to get tattooed.

What works well on short notice

Same-day appointments suit pieces that can be designed and finished in a single visit:

Small and medium tattoos, like fine line and delicate designs, minimal symbols and simple florals.
Script: names, dates and short phrases, once you've confirmed the spelling.
Ideas you already have a clear reference for and are ready to commit to.

What’s better booked ahead

Some work needs design time or a longer session, so it's worth planning:

Large custom pieces, sleeves and anything that takes more than one session.
Detailed realism, such as portraits from a photo.
Cover-ups, which usually start with a consultation so the artist can see what they're working with.

Can I just walk in?

You can stop by, but texting first is the surest way to get in. Our artists work by appointment, so an unannounced visit may mean waiting or coming back later. A quick text tells us what you want and lets us line up the right artist before you arrive.

Before you come in

Eat a real meal and drink plenty of water beforehand.
Skip alcohol for at least 24 hours; it can increase bleeding.
Wear clothes that give easy access to the spot you're getting tattooed.

We're at 7th and Olive, a block from Pershing Square. 7th Street/Metro Center (A, B, D and E Lines) is a few minutes' walk away.
